What I Learned in My First Year of Podcasting
“What I Learned in My First Year of Podcasting” is a candid exploration of my decision to start a podcast, the process of developing a format and style, choosing podcasting equipment, hiring an editor, and other choices I’ve made throughout the process. We’ll also dive into podcast show notes, how the podcast fits into my business plan, and valuable lessons I’ve learned along the way.
This talk is designed for creators who have considered creating a podcast or are curious about how it might fit into your overall business plans.
Podcasting has become one of the most consumed forms of content around the world. In 2023, the global podcast listenership surpassed 464 million, a number projected to soar beyond 504 million in 2024. This surge in popularity underscores the immense potential of podcasting in shaping business strategies.
I launched my podcast, The Family Money Adventure Show, in Spring 2023 after years of debating whether it was the right choice for me. The short answer is that it was right, but not without its share of obstacles.
I’m incredibly excited for the launch of The Family Money Adventure Show Season 2, but it wouldn’t have been possible without the key decisions I made early on, the mistakes I’ve learned from, and the trial and error that shaped my podcasting journey.
